After redecoration, it re-open on 11th Jun 2018. The selling point is the restaurant. It is located at the south of Hotel Ryokan Yachiyo (above one), total 5 rooms. All can enjoy the view of garden designed by Ueji Ogawa Jihei VII. In the“Japanese Cuisine Kashiwaya”, it is a Michelin 3 stars restaurant that you can admire the nice views of the garden when having nice meals.

Hotel was ranged at 24 by the American Magazine, The Journal of Japanese Gardening. It is built by Ueji Ogawa Jihei VII by the borrowed scenery of Higashiyama. People can enjoy red leaves of akamatsu and acer japonicum trees. The sukiya-zukuri is a traditional Japanese house designed by Goichi Takeda. Business of hotel runs with a private school, open to public and total 17 rooms. Booking can be done in 1 month in advance, and it is always fully book. This Japanese style hotel is a re-built building of Kankyoro, the house of businessman Suminokura Ryoi who responded to process the Hydraulic engineering of Katsuragawa River in Sengoku period. In the north of Kankyoro, there is the Karesansui dry rock garden of Kobori Masakazu, a good place to admire red leaves. The hotel allied with public schools, but also let general public to live in. Reservation be began almost 6 months ahead. Now of 2018 is basically fully booked.
