Umekoji Park
You can see the reflections of fall foliage (reversed red leaves) from the pond in Suzaku no Niwa Garden. A waterfall with 6m height is well match with red leaves. Lighten-up is in service at night. Special menu for Kyoto vegetable is available in the restaurant that faces the Suzaku no Niwa Garden. Enjoy nice meals as well as the autumn leaves at the same time.
There are seats around the Kyoto Railway Museum and Kyoto Aquarium for leisure. You can picnic also on the grassland.
While playing with children, you can also enjoy the red leaves. Suggest to take a walk around the Takaragaike Park as you can see the reflections of red leaves on the pond. They will make you comfortable.

Arashiyama Park
IHere are total 3 parks. They are Arashiyama Park, Togetsukyo Bridge and Katsuragawa.
Kameyama area is the upper reaches area of Togetsukyo Bridge, left side of Katsuragawa and south east of Ogurayama. The scenery of Arashiyama Park and Katsuragawa observed from the sightseeing platform is majestic. Though here is closed to the popular Arashiyama Park. It is not that crowed and can enjoy leisurely.
The middle part of the Katsuragawa is called as Nakanoshima (a small island on the river). Sitting on the seats in the park, you can peacefully enjoy the water movement of Katsuragawa and views of the opposite side.
Left side of lower part of Togetsukyo Bridge is Rinsen-ji Temple area. Both Arashiyama Park and Togetsukyo Bridge can be taken in the same photo. Every 2nd Sunday in November, there is “Red Leaves Festival” at Arashiyama Park. In the upper stream that Togetsukyo Bridge over run, an ancient boat tour as Heian period will be held.

Uji City Plant Park
Here the red leaves can be admired other than in “Autumnal area”. Also investigate “Summer Area”, not to miss the Japanese No.1 floral creations, a giant picture made by flowers named “Tapestry of Flowers and Water” which let you realize the vitality of plants.
Passing thru the “Windy Passage”, you can arrive to “Sunny Hill” (Yamashiro Park Taiyogaoka Stadium). There is a red leaves spot“Adventure Forest”, it contains also playground facilities.

Water Garden (Keihanna Memorial Park)
It is a combination of modern Japanese garden “Water Garden”, red leaves valley, a small waterfall & maple trees. Places around Nagatani Pond, also named“Budding Foest”, are good for red leaves enjoyment.
The dates of Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays in the period 3rd November to 26th November 2017, “Water Garden” was lighten up after sunset till 9:00pm. Last entrance was at 8:30pm.
Small waterfall will stop in autumn and red leaves float on the pond. Looks like a fantasy land.
Keihanna Memorial Park is free of charge and with playground for children.

Kasagiyama Natural Park
The natural park started from 2:10pm and located at Kasagiyama Temple, and red leaves are plant near Hozoin ruin. Generally, need to play for visiting, but will be free when lightening up event provided in November.
Places around the 13 floors stone pagoda, that was built by Kasagiyama stone of Kasagiyama Mountain, and Magaibutsu are good for red leaves observation. The Emperor Daigo of late Kamakura period built his palace in here. The circumstances let Emperor Daigo make a poem, meaning roughly like “Let’s go! Wind of Autumn invited me to go around, occasionally. I got the looks of the red maple leaves in the mountains”.
